Die  Künstlerin

Brigitte von Humboldt absolvierte ein klassisches Kunststudium an der staatlichen Kunsthochschule in Mainz. Ihre Werke wurden in mehreren europäischen Ländern und in Brasilien ausgestellt. Seit 1979 lebt sie in Portugal und arbeitet in ihrem Studio “ATELIER AZUL” in Lagos.

Sie bevorzugt die Malerei in Acryltechnik, weil diese sehr viele Variationsmöglichkeiten bietet. Ihre intuitive Arbeitsweise verlangt Spontanität und Konzentration zugleich.

Reisen in exotische Weltgegenden, und die Elemente der Natur inspirieren sie zu  Bildern, die durch Intensität und Leuchtkraft faszinieren.

 

The Artist

Brigitte von Humboldt received her degree in Art from the Academy of Arts affiliated by the University of Mainz in Germany. Her work has been exhibited in various European countries and in Brazil. Since 1979 she lives in Lagos, Portugal and works in her studio “ATELIER AZUL”.

Her preferred medium is acrylics, as these allow her to explore a broad variety of painting techniques. The intense style of working does not only require great ability of focusing, but also a large measure of spontaneity.

Journeys to exotic parts of the world and the elements of nature inspire her to create paintings characterized by their vibrancy and depth of color.
